Partner Yoga Workshop with Troy and Ellery

Explore a deeper connection through your breath and movement in a safe and playful environment. Together as Partners, we practice breathing, assisting, and flowing, with an introduction to Acro Yoga. Partner Yoga develops trust, support, and communication. As a healing art, the bonds of relationship are strengthened through verbal and non-verbal communication. Partner Yoga is not for couples only – any two participants are welcome and is accessible to all levels. Instructors will photograph the session and can be emailed to all participants.

Meet Ellery - Born in California and raised in an open-minded, garden growing holistic environment, Ellery’s mom first took her to a yoga class at the age of six and was in awe of the practice ever since. Having moved to multiple states throughout Ellery’s life, yoga has been her only constant.

Ellery graduated early with high honors from the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a B.A. in Journalism. She had the opportunity to work with amazing companies, ranging from non-profits, nutrition PR firms, to major television networks. After spending time working in such high-stress environments, she decided to throw out her corporate slacks for stretchy yoga pants to spread mind and body awareness through the uplifting flow of yoga.In 2014, Ellery received her 200RYT yoga teaching certification through Chicago’s prime Yogaview studio and is trained in Trauma Sensitive Yoga. Now, a full-time yoga teacher in Atlanta, her intention is to empower others to connect to their authentic self, while expressing their greatest potential both on and off of the mat.Growing up as a Competitive Latin Ballroom dancer, her passion for organic movement and connecting the mind and body continues to be her main inspiration.Ellery’s teaching style is Vinyasa/Hatha based with an influence of Ashtanga. She teaches with compassion and appreciation of the individual yet encourages everyone to challenge themselves while emphasizing alignment, making it accessible to all levels. When joining her in class, expect a lively, warm flow that will ignite your energy and bring a smile to your heart.

Meet Troy -Troy received his 200hr yoga teaching certification through Yogaview, under the guidance of Claire Mark, Geri Bleier, Quinn Kearney and Tom Quinn. Troy began practicing yoga in 2011, having an already active life of running, biking, and weightlifting. Working off the mat he balances his weekly work routine with a steady yoga practice in the studio and at home. Yoga has helped Troy discover a profound strength and flexibility of body and mind. With psychological courage and humility he wants to share what he has learned, helping others discover it for themselves. Troy’s intentions are to guide others in their yoga practice, and help them create a path that will merge body with mind and health with happiness. Having a strong inversion and transition practice, Troy will challenge his class through vinyasa sequences and provide opportunities that will advance the student’s practice at all levels. Troy also teaches private lesson and workshops. With his partner Ellery Long, they have formed Partners in Yoga, leading partner yoga workshops and retreats.
