Kelly jones
Yoga became a regular part of Kelly’s life in 2010 while searching for a way to balance the physical toll of long distance running on her body and the mental toll of a stressful job on her mind. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the quiet energy and sense of community she found in yoga studios across the city (and the strength and flexibility a regular practice built in her body!). Kelly’s yoga practice and teaching is an ever-evolving balance of restorative holds and rigorous flow. You can expect creative sequencing, accommodating cues, and fun playlists in Kelly’s classes. Yoga has helped Kelly lives a life that is happier and healthier, which she strives to share with her students.
Kelly is a RYT500, having completed her 200 hour training at Bloom Yoga Studio in June 2014 and her 300 hour training at Yoga Now in November 2015. She also holds a 200 hour certificate in Ayurvedic Studies with Hilary Garivaltis and a 20 hour restorative certificate with Lisa Sandquist. When not on her mat, Kelly loves her job a portfolio director at a venture philanthropy fund and can be found most weekends logging miles on the lakeshore trail. Kelly lives in Ravenswood with her boyfriend and fur babies, Lucy and Mona.
